Dream Big Dreams

While this verse cautions us to not think of ourselves more highly than we ought (just prior to this), it also encourages us to think in accordance with the faith God has given us. That says to me that I should dream big dreams. After all, it's not about me, it's about the God I serve. If I think about myself in accordance with the faith He gives me I am thinking about the bigness of my God. I serve a Great Big God. So I want to dream Great Big Dreams.

Many of you have been beaten down. You might think there is nothing big you could do. You're just going to live the life you've been handed. While that might be true in the natural realm it is definitely NOT true in the spiritual realm. With God we can do mighty things. With God we can move mountains. With God we can trample scorpions and snakes and not be harmed. With God we can be thrown into a den of hungry lions and not be harmed. With God we can walk through the middle of a sea at flood time on dry land. With God we can be bound and thrown into a fiery furnace and come out not even smelling of the flames. What is the common denominator in these we can statements? "With God."

You see, with God absolutely nothing is impossible. What dream has He given you? You may only have a spark; that's okay. You may only have a faint remembrance of something long ago; again, okay. Give reign to that dream. If it is God-given you can be sure He will make it come to pass. You see, God doesn't give small dreams--things you can do on your own. He give big God-sized dreams--dreams that take His mighty hand to make them happen. He wants others to see that He is at work in you. He wants others to see that He wants to work in them too.

Dream your dream. Pursue your dream. Watch and see where God will take you.
